چکیده

Representing business rules and the rules governing businesses is in itself a challenging task. Supporting the enactment of the represented rules poses even greater challenges. We present a novel approach to enact decisions represented using the Decision Model and Notation standard. The IDP knowledge base system is used as an inference engine for DMN decision models. The different forms of inference provided by the knowledge base system allow for flexible decision enactment. Our approach additionally allows for decision enactment by automatically generating an interactive graphical interface from the specification of the decisions.

Visual Design and On-line Verification of Tabular Rule-Based

The paper is dedicated to presentation of a new approach to joint design and verification of rule-based systems. The principal idea is that verification should be performed on-line, incrementally, during system design. This allows for early detection and handling of knowledge base anomalies and inconsistencies. The proposed approach offers also an innovative visual tool for computer-aided desig...

Ontology-driven execution of clinical guidelines

Clinical guidelines (CG) contain general descriptions, defined by health care organisations, of the way in which a particular pathology should be treated. Their adoption in daily care offers several benefits to both patients and practitioners, such as the standardisation of the delivered care and the reduction of errors, but, at the same time, there are several issues that limit their applicati...

Integration of the Existed Knowledge on DMN: A Critical Review Study

The default-mode network (DMN) is one of the human brain’s networks activated in resting and self-referential thinking states. The nature of this network and its normal or abnormal changes has been the subject of various studies. The aim of this study was to systematical review and integrating the findings of that studies focused on the relationship of DMN with mental disorders and aging-induce...

Constructing Flexible Dynamic Belief Networks from First-Order Probabilistic Knowledge Bases

This paper investigates the power of first-order probabilistic logic (FOPL) as a representation language for complex dynamic situations. We introduce a sublanguage of FOPL and use it to provide a first-order version of dynamic belief networks. We show that this language is expressive enough to enable reasoning over time and to allow procedural representations of conditional probability tables. I...
